Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Studiyo collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Studiyo mobile apps (for guests and for studio hosts) and this website.

Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number, and a password (stored in hashed form — we never store your plain-text password). If you sign up as a studio host, this also includes your studio name, address, and location.

Booking information: the rooms and time slots you book or list, booking status, and any notes you add to a booking.

Payment information: we use Paystack and Flutterwave to process payments — Studiyo does not store your card details. We do keep records of transaction amounts, status, and wallet balances (for hosts receiving payouts) needed to run the marketplace and resolve disputes.

Location information: the city, state, and local government area you search in or list a studio under, used to show relevant spaces nearby.

Reviews: ratings and comments you leave for a studio after a booking.

Device and notification information: a push-notification token for your device, and your notification preferences, so we can send booking updates, reminders, and payment confirmations.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and bookings
• To process payments and payouts
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts
• To show you relevant studios and respond to search filters
• To provide customer support
• To keep the platform secure and prevent fraud

How we share your information

We share information with payment processors (Paystack, Flutterwave) to complete transactions, and between guests and hosts as needed to coordinate a booking (e.g. a host can see the guest name and booking time for their studio). We don't sell your personal information to third parties.

Data retention

We keep account and booking information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Contact us at [email protected] to make a request.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (including password hashing and encrypted connections) to protect your information, but no system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password for your account.

Children's privacy

Studiyo is not directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
