These terms govern your use of Studiyo — the mobile apps (for guests and for studio hosts) and this website — operated by Canvas & Pixels. By creating an account or using Studiyo, you agree to these terms.

What Studiyo is

Studiyo is a marketplace that connects guests looking for creative space — photo and video studios, podcast and recording rooms, rehearsal space, and meeting or event rooms — with hosts who list and rent out that space by the hour. Studiyo facilitates the booking and payment; the booking contract for a given session is between the guest and the host.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Studiyo account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Bookings and payment

Guests book a room for specific time slots and pay through the app via Paystack or Flutterwave. Depending on how a host has configured a room, payment is either collected immediately (instant booking) or after the host approves the request — approval requests that aren't paid within the stated payment window expire automatically and release the slot.

Studiyo deducts a platform fee from the amount a host receives for a completed booking; the guest-facing price shown at booking is what the guest pays in full.

Cancellations

A booking that hasn't been paid for yet (pending or awaiting approval) can be cancelled at no cost. A confirmed (paid) booking can be cancelled within 24 hours of payment for a refund, minus a 3% cancellation fee; after that 24-hour window, a confirmed booking can no longer be cancelled through the app.

Check-in

Guests check in to a booked session using the check-in code shown in the app for that booking. Showing up without checking in, or outside the booked time window, may affect your ability to use the space or receive a refund.

Hosts

If you list a space on Studiyo, you're responsible for the accuracy of your listing (photos, amenities, pricing, availability) and for honoring confirmed bookings. Payouts are made to your Studiyo wallet and withdrawn to your linked bank account.

Reviews

Guests may leave a rating and review after a completed booking. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience — we may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or unrelated to the booking.

Prohibited conduct

• Booking a space for an illegal purpose
• Circumventing Studiyo's payment system to pay a host directly for a listed booking
• Posting a listing for a space you don't have the right to rent out
• Harassing or discriminating against another user
• Attempting to interfere with or abuse the platform's security

Disclaimers

Studiyo facilitates bookings between guests and hosts but doesn't own or operate the listed spaces. We do our best to verify hosts and listings, but we don't guarantee the condition, safety, or suitability of any space. Studiyo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Studiyo/Canvas & Pixels is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or a booking made through it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continuing to use Studiyo after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
